About NordDaily

Swedish economic news, explained in plain English with interactive calculators.

What we do

NordDaily covers Swedish tax rules, mortgage regulations, savings accounts, and consumer finance — translated and explained for English-speaking residents of Sweden. Most of this news is published only in Swedish, in government press releases and technical legal documents that are hard to navigate even for native speakers.

We take that source material, verify every figure directly against official Swedish government sources (Skatteverket, Finansinspektionen, SCB, Konsumentverket, and others), and rewrite it as a plain-English consumer guide. Every article includes an interactive calculator so you can run your own numbers rather than guessing how a rule change affects you specifically.

Who this is for

Anyone living or working in Sweden who wants to understand the financial rules that apply to them: expats navigating the Swedish tax system for the first time, international employees trying to understand their mortgage options, long-term residents keeping up with rule changes that affect their savings and investments.

Our editorial standard

Every number published on NordDaily is sourced from a primary Swedish government or official source and verified by fetching the actual page before publication. We link directly to the source — not just the homepage, but the specific page that contains the figure. If a number cannot be verified from a primary source, we don't publish it.

Calculator results are estimates based on published rules and averages. Individual outcomes depend on personal circumstances. We always recommend speaking to a qualified adviser before making financial decisions.
